Tomato free Ketchup (gluten free, vegan, nightshade free)

This is a super simple substitute for ketchup for the tomato allergic. This got two thumbs up from my nonallergic husband. He said it tastes just like ketchup with a slightly fruity aftertaste.
1 container Gerber plum with apples and pears baby food
1/4 t Salt
1 dash Onion powder
1/4 t Vinegar
1 T Sugar
2 drops Red food color
Mix all ingredients together, let set for about an hour so flavors can meld, stir again.
I found this recipe on the yummy allergen free blog. Be sure to check out the blog for other delish sounding recipes.

I just wanted to let you know that I think originally this had a pinch of garlic powder in it too, until we found out Emily was also allergic to garlic. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I was also wondering what gluten free chicken nuggets do you use?

We use chicken nuggets that are kosher for passover- there are actually a few brands. We use Meal Mart, and for other gluten free goods, there is a brand called s'better farms that make many gluten free products, like gluten free corn dogs. After passover is the best time to shop for gluten free goods- I have like 20 something jars of gluten free bread crumbs that are very good- we got them for 49 cents a jar- big jars of potato starch for 50 cents a jar...tis the time to stock up- for some easy meals, manichewitz has a list of thier gluten free products on thier website- it is very helpful.
